May 22, 2013 PADOVA

So I got transferred to Padova, but the address to my apartment hasnt changed.  I still live in the same place.  But anyways.  I am super happy that we are working in this city now.  Mestre was a personal hell for me, I just had so many hard times and things were just pushing and pushing and pushing me to the point of break.  But now that we are here in Padova, things are a lot better.  I am a whole lot more relaxed and I can breathe.  Its been a long time, a really hard, long, difficult period of time on my mission, but things are definitley different.  We are planning a really sweet concert for the 8th of June. Its going to be basically for the missionaries to get some referalls and hopefully it works out.  I know that things are going to go well.  We have some major talent in the district and zone so we are going to kill it.  We just need to do anything possible to keep the work going.  This could be something good. Anways, the ward is amazing.  The people are really happy to have another companionship to help with the work.  I am really happy to be that companionship.  We are working really hard.  I am really tired, but that is a good sign.

Love you all

Real quick.  Things have been difficult, but I just keep my head up and know that everything is going to be okay. Love will always find a way.  One of my favorite songs said that...found it on the mission.  Anyways, I know that all of you guys are doing great.  We had a really great mothers day.  We had a young 17 year old come to church for the first time in a while and surprised his mom.  She was bawling.  It was really touching, some of the best feelings on my mission.  Its great.  Other than that, I love Italy...time is flying.  Miss you guys

May 1, 2013 MESTRE

 Hey everyone,

I am still here serving in Mestre.  Transfers just passed and I thought that somehting was going to change, but Anziano Modugno and I are still together. I am really happy about that.  I was afraid that I was gonna get moved again.  I Love Mestre, the ward is....great.  And the city is really nice, and the poeple are really cold, but that is okay, the weather is finally warming up and so the poeple shoudl be too.  We actually had some success this week.  We found some families.  They seem to be really cool.  We acutally went to see a less active family and we found a person there.  They really had lost the church, because there was a lack of communication from the misskionaries to the members but now, we are back and helping them to get going in the churhc.  Their friend wants to hear the lessons and hopefully we can get her with a date here on Saturday.  THat would be really nice.  We also knocked into an awesome lady that is married to a muslim, but he was really cool and let her listen to the lesson and she took the book of mormon.  Things are looking up. I am really happy right now.  This week was a lot better than the others.  Thank goodness.  I really needed to have a little bit of success.  We will see what this next transfer brings us. There are another 31 missionaries coming into the mission.  That is unheard of.  And half of them are sisters.  I think that there are now like 66 sisters inthe mission and 10 of them are in my zone. GREAT!! The work is going to be exploding.  I hope that all of you are well.  i know its been a while since you have heard from me, at least some of you, but now I finally figured out this email thing so I can send this email to more people.  I was a little confused before, but now I am on a roll.  I miss you all and Hope that you are all doing wonderful.  VENICE IS JUST AS BEAUTIFUL AS USUAL!!  Today is a beautiful day.  Hahhaha

Love you all

April 24, 2012 Well, it's the mission

We had a really hard week this week.  I hope you all remeber the girl we were teaching, she was awesome, and we were so ready to baptize her, but her father told us that we werent allowed to see her anymore.  Just as things we looking up, we got shut down.  That was really hard.  I didnt expect it and we got really hit hard, it was hard to do missionary work, to stop people, to stop thinking about the what if we were to baptize her.  It would change her life.  Well I told my president and he said, " I dont  know her but I feel like she will join the church very soon."  That was really good to hear.  She read the entire book of mormon in 5 days.  She knows that its true.  That is really a huge miracle.  I feel good becuase we did our job.  The zone is doing really well right now.  we are looking at about 16 baptisms for MAY!!  That is going to be amazing.  I am really happy that we are going to be kiling it.  I hope that every one is doing well.  its getting warmer here and I know that there is just as good.  I wish that I could hit up the beach, but that isnt happening for a while.  I love my mission. Im exhausted if any of you were wondering.  MAN ALIVE!!  I really am having an amazing time.  My comp and I are loving eachother.  Who knew, me and an Italian...talk about luck.  I love the language.  We are just having a ton of fun together, even though the work is hard.  Keep praying for me please.  We will see miracles.  God loves us.  I promise that.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN

April 17, 2013

Hey everyone,

Another week on the job and the blessings are FINALLY arriving.  Its been a long time that we got the invite to come in and teach someone, but when we got it this week, it was from a 17 year old girl, and there was no guy in the house, so we had to turn her down and have her close the door.  Big switch in the roles for a little bit.  But we went and taught her the next day.  SHE IS AWESOME!  Cristina.  She has been struggling with her faith for a while now, and she is wanting to refind it.  So we talked about the Book of Mormon and told her that she would feel better and have more faith if she read the Book of Mormon.  We asked her to read the introduction, and we got the best answer, she said, "You know, I can read this entire book by tuesday, I love reading"  OKAY!!!  You do that.  Hhahahahah.  Well we went back two days later and she explained that she had read a lot of the book and loved the story about Lehi and his dream.  She told us PERFECTLY the entire story.  We taught her a great lesson and she accepted a baptismal date for May 11.  If her family says that is okay, it will be done.  I know that they will because they already told her, if it feels good that she should follow it.  I think that this is huge.  we havent had an investigator, but now we have one that is going to be full of referalls too.  She is awesome.

AHHH like a breath of fresh air.

We baptized on Friday.  Destiny asked me to do it like i told you all.  It went well and the pictures are there.  He was so happy to get baptized that he asked everyone to take a picture with him.  He wanted one in the font and everything, but we explained that he couldnt.  He had some major blessings promised in the confermation, so much that even a member got up during his testimony and said that it was the most powerful confermation he has ever heard.  That was good.

Monday we had an amazing mission council with Elder Allen from the Missionary Department of the church.  He is actually like the main person, the boss we will say.  He gave us so much good council. Major help.  All about repentance and how we can help the people that we teach repent better.  Because sometimes we baptize people without helping the repent, we skip that part, or we think that they did it already and we dont make sure, and within a year they are gone because the stain is still there, and they just cleaned it with water, not soap.  So that was major good help.  (that was really bad english)

I lvoe you all.  You are all amazing.  keep up the good work.  Keep being the coolpeople.  I love you all.
